Was wondering if you’d explain who Madame Xanadu’s mysterious client was? Would be interesting that Batman himelf arranged it since he wouldn’t be in Gotham at the time!

Sorry meant during part 2 of the Halloween special!

That’s a pretty neat idea, but I think what I have planned is a little bit more of a shock for the heroes. :)

The fun part will be seeing how things shape up in the end. The mysterious client may or may not be revealed in this session, but there will be elements of this storyline appearing in my ongoing M&M campaign that I’m working on now.

Thanks for listening, I hope part 2 is even more fun for you!

Oh yes and pretty much means i’ll be picking up the dc adventures and supplements since highlighting the other heroes makes it much more interesting!

We plan to record Part 2 after Thanksgiving, we’ve just had some bad luck trying to schedule the game. :) I’ve been focused on getting some projects finished as well, so… stay tuned! We’ll be back with the second half of the story soon!

With the holidays and several difficulties with individual players, the second part of the episode had been delayed so long I fear it’s for everyone’s benefit if I simply let it go. I do plan to do more demo podcasts in the very near future, but I’m going to start a new campaign rather than continue on with promoting DC Adventures with one-offs. The campaign will be Mutants and Masterminds 3E, but will focus on original player characters and give us a chance to develop the characters over time. My apologies!

Okay so if you have no plans on releasing the rest of this could you explain what you had planned for them? Well anything you’d care to reveal in case you plan to releases other time or play it with their new characters! And regarding the new campaign will you start off with them designing their new characters like when they showed off the new gm toolkit?

Sorry meant if you planned on running the above in your new campaign albeit changed accordingly!

I do plan to have a character creation podcast. What I hope to do is record the character creation podcast and then the first episode, and release them both as close together as possible… in case people aren’t as interested in the Character Creation session, they can skip to the first episode of the game. :) That’s the plan, but plans always change when confronted by real life. Anyway, as for the Halloween episode, the plot originally had the climactic fight be against Batman, with Mad Hatter controlling him and getting him to fight the heroes. There was some other stuff in there, too, but I think I’ll save some of those ideas for later. :)

That would be quite the twist!

Been listening to a dc adventures character generation podcast which sounds like a campaign in the making with a Paragon, Gadgeteer and a Crimefighter as their character archetype choices. Will you use the gm tool kit or give your player the option of the archetypes or to create their own character?

That sounds like the original podcast we did over at Mike Lafferty’s site (which was the original home of the Vigilance Press Podcast). At this stage in the game, I’m not 100% sure how we’ll do character creation, but it may be a mix of those options.

So the same group for your intended campaign podcast then? Or will they ue the characters generated in that podcast highlighting the gm’s tool kit? It will be interesting to see where this goes though!
